Meaning “rebirth” in French, the word renaissance was chosen by 19th century scholars to describe the artistic and cultural transformation of the 15th and 16th centuries in Western Europe.

Today we are proud to announce the birth of the Chanteclair Editions e-commerce website, which involved a few rebirths.

We are glad to share the beauty of Renaissance music with the world, and we offer you the symbolism of the phoenix of Bona of Savoy (Bona di Savoia), Duchess of Milan, as a starting point to this website and this blog.
